Optical systems

In order to use the light coming from the light sources in a targeted manner, it is necessary to direct and control the light. This is done with the aid of optical systems, such as those used as mirrors or lenses since ancient times. Although the basic physical principles have been known for a long time, the improvement of computational methods, material and manufacturing technology has opened up completely new possibilities to capture the light and direct it to where it is needed.

At LTI, we develop new methods for lighting simulation, concepts for novel optical systems, such as light guides, and test and evaluate optical concepts - also on behalf of our industrial customers.
