06.10.2017 – For the third time in a row, the young scientists Tobias Abzieher (LTI) and Stephan Dottermusch (IMT) supported the national finals of SolarMobil Deutschland – a school competition where teams plan and build their own solar-powered model racecars.

The initiative of the Verband der Elektrotechnik, Elektronik und Informationstechnik (VDE) and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) attracted more than 150 pupils from all over Germany. This year the event took place in Bremen nicely embedded into the Maritime Woche. The school competition is designed for pupils of all types of schools from primary to high school and tries to arouse interest for photovoltaics and regenerative energies already in an early stage of education.
