Organic DFB lasers with very low thresholds (45 pJ/pulse) have been realised. First, second and mixed order distributed feedback (DFB) gratings have been employed. Laserdiode pumping of blue-, green- and red-emitting organic lasers has been demonstrated. Hybrid laser devices are novel, low-cost laser sources enabling many promising applications. |
